Time to get the boats ready for the summer season!

As we put the winter season in the rear view mirrors on the Texas coast, it is time to get the boat unwinterized and ready for the summer boating/fishing season.  Here are just a few reminders to add to your checklist!

1.  Wash and wax - a waxed boat will be much easier to keep clean and will overall protect your investment
2.  Change the engine oil
3.  Change water seperator
4.  Inspect/replace/drain inline fuel filter
5.  Fill 2 stroke oil reservoir and add a spare bottle to the storage area
6.  Inspect and add corrosion resistance to wiring/fuse panel
7.  Inspect GPS/Sounder and Compass
8.  Check all Bilge pumps and well pumps
9.  Inspect Fire Extinguisher
10.  Inspect Flares
11.  Test ship/shore radio
12.  Spray corrosion resistance to engine
13.  Check life Jackets and throwable
14.  Test Horn and whistle
15.  Make sure registration numbers are updated
16.  Check fishing license
17.  Test Batteries and clean terminal posts of corrosion
18.  Test running lights
